The Perimeter...Our Eternal Home...
Well everyone, this weekend I went "back to our roots" I guess you could say. As I drove into the ATL and passed the blessed Dunwoody exit, all the fun memories from our euphoric two week stay there this summer came flooding back. After my departure yesterday from our beloved city, I knew that I had to post because I know you will all want to know what I am about to tell you.
My first order of business once I arrived in Atlanta was to go with Shelley (our class hero) to babysit for Sam's new baby (our new class mascot) who is so cute! We got some good time in the Mohlenhoff household, and I even got knocked off the couch by their very hospitable dog.
From there, we ventured on to one of the best places I've ever been...in my mind, it's equivolent to a trip to the White house...Shelley took me in for a day (ok so maybe really only 30 minutes) at the PCA-RUM office! Yes, 1700 North Brown Road Suite 104...I saw it with my very own eyes. It was definitely different than I pictured. I always pictured a tall, older looking building. No, it was a one- story almost "modern" looking building. You wouldn't believe it. It was amazing.
Then, after getting over the intial shock of actually being inside the building, who to my wondering eyes should appear, but John Robertson...the Top Dog in the PCA! I talked to him about his time in Tuscaloosa (he started one of the PCA churches here in town) among other things. After he left, Shelley congratulated me on making friends with Mr. PCA himself.
We continued on to the actual RUM office where I was able to see everyone's desk (Catherine, Shelley, Sam, Rod, Bonnnie, Clif, and Jenny...all accounted for). I sat in Rod's chair for a second and then left Clif a note.
On our way out, we grabbed some offcial RUM animal crackers and hit the road.
So I guess you could say I had a good weekend. Not only did I get to go to the PCA "White House", but I also met the PCA "President." Next time I want you all to come with me...
PS 108 days til summer conference.

when you sat in Rod's chair, was it like in Star Wars or something, where the Force began to course powerfully through your veins? that would be sweeeeeet.
