Training Re-cap

Ok, so if you're like me you've been checking the blog every day since training and because you're selfish you have been ticked that no one has posted anything, yet you are content to sit and wait for something to happen. I thought I would take a shot at reviving the blog by making some comments about training. It was awesome, I enjoyed every minute of it as usual. Maybe everyone should post their favorite few minutes from training...here are mine:

*Shaking David Green's hand at the Doubletree check-in counter
*Seeing Robert Stowers' beard
*Prayer group with me, Trey, and Brian on the floor and Walt doing his part from the comforts of the porcelyn pony.
*Will Todd...enough said.
*Poker & leftover communion wine...the heart of RUF training.

Now, please share in the memories

Birthdays Galore...

According to my handy-dandy intern birthday list, today marks the births of not one, but two of our fellow interns...Happy Birthday to Kristen and Steve! I hope y'all both have a great day today. I'm sure that the best part of your birthdays will be when you realize that ONE WEEK (thats seven days for the lay person)from today we will all be chillin' in Dallas together. I can't wait. See you all then.

Well, at least it's over

First things first......the official wedding date is going to be JULY 1st!! Just to make sure all you haters know this.

Thanks to those of you who said prayers for me as I preached on Tuesday night. It went well, but I definitely saw areas I could improve on. I talked about the Lord's Prayer, which is a very intersting subject. A few folks came up to me afterwards and said they enjoyed it, so that was encouraging. It was a really cool feeling to be able to share the Gospel with so many students at one time. I think there were probably a little over 200 there. I also got to tell them the engagement story, which was cool. Got a lot of ooohhhs and aaaahhhs from girls. That's really what it's all about. Man, training is freaking coming. Let's do it.
