Shameless ploy to get Krammy on the blog

Krammy,
I love ya man and I need you to come through for me on this one. Everyone still checking this blog can comment as they wish but we bearded guys got to stick together so Krammy this one is for you.
I am a recovering Baptist and thusly suffer great ignorance when it comes to sacramentology, so I had this question given to me and though I gave an answer I am not sure it is the right one given my naivete. It is one about the Lord's Supper. Somebody asked me why certain Presbyterians who eagerly baptize infants restrict the table to 'consenting' adults. This guy made the argument that restricting the table makes children 'second-class citizens' in the covenant and that raising children as if they were reprobate and not worthy of coming to the table sends a bad signal to children.

What do you think Krams? C'mon, man, be a hero

The Perimeter...Our Eternal Home...

Well everyone, this weekend I went "back to our roots" I guess you could say. As I drove into the ATL and passed the blessed Dunwoody exit, all the fun memories from our euphoric two week stay there this summer came flooding back. After my departure yesterday from our beloved city, I knew that I had to post because I know you will all want to know what I am about to tell you.

My first order of business once I arrived in Atlanta was to go with Shelley (our class hero) to babysit for Sam's new baby (our new class mascot) who is so cute! We got some good time in the Mohlenhoff household, and I even got knocked off the couch by their very hospitable dog.

From there, we ventured on to one of the best places I've ever been...in my mind, it's equivolent to a trip to the White house...Shelley took me in for a day (ok so maybe really only 30 minutes) at the PCA-RUM office! Yes, 1700 North Brown Road Suite 104...I saw it with my very own eyes. It was definitely different than I pictured. I always pictured a tall, older looking building. No, it was a one- story almost "modern" looking building. You wouldn't believe it. It was amazing.

Then, after getting over the intial shock of actually being inside the building, who to my wondering eyes should appear, but John Robertson...the Top Dog in the PCA! I talked to him about his time in Tuscaloosa (he started one of the PCA churches here in town) among other things. After he left, Shelley congratulated me on making friends with Mr. PCA himself.

We continued on to the actual RUM office where I was able to see everyone's desk (Catherine, Shelley, Sam, Rod, Bonnnie, Clif, and Jenny...all accounted for). I sat in Rod's chair for a second and then left Clif a note.

On our way out, we grabbed some offcial RUM animal crackers and hit the road.

So I guess you could say I had a good weekend. Not only did I get to go to the PCA "White House", but I also met the PCA "President." Next time I want you all to come with me...

PS 108 days til summer conference.

The Shaft

I just got stood up for breakfast. It's the first time that a student has just flat out not shown up. No answer to my phone call, no email, no facebook message. Nothing. It's the earliest meeting I've ever had, and I was so proud of myself being able to say, "yeah, whatever...early's fine." I had to drive through pouring rain, forego Yoga, and miss out on eating at Pancake Pantry.

I suppose it all worked out, though. I got to come to Panera - home of delicious mochas in huge ceramic mugs that make you feel all warm and cozy inside. And I'll go over to Belmont a little later. Hopefully I'll see her, and she'll feel really ashamed and start crying...but I'll be very gracious and loving, and she'll think I'm the best intern ever, and maybe give me a MacBook to make up for missing breakfast. All in God's will, you know?

Famous interns...

So now, not only is our intern class home to a published author, but a new recording artist as well! Kevin brought back the newest Indelible Grace CD for Garrett and me. As I was listening and browsing through it, I noticed none other than our very own Charissa Imken has a BGV role in Greg Thompson's hit song, Jesus Lover of My Soul. I'm not very musical, but I'm going to take a shot and guess that BGV means Charissa is singing background vocals! Just thought I'd give yall a heads-up! Later!
Charissa you can fill us in on the details!

Happy 2006!!!

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year! Now let's hear some resolutions...

I'll start with...

1)Becoming the first ordained woman in the PCA
2)Getting Will Todd to change his name
3)Dispelling any rumors Robert starts concerning me and a certain campus minister
